The music is a very classic heavy metal with strong voices and fantastic guitar solos. Compared to the other amazing accept album, restless and wild, I find this one a little bit more melodic and not so fast. In regard to the audio quality, I have not heart the last remastered, so I cannot say anything about it.
I bough a cd of the 90s mastered by Vic Anesin, because I read in one of the comments that the audio in the last remastered cd is not good.
I only can say that my cd sounds very good. I strongly recommend this album to who loves the classical heavy metal. This is probably Accept's crowning achievement right here, the aptly titled "Balls to the Wall. The rhythm section is rock solid, the drums thunderous. Production has that super-clear 80's loud snare-driven mix that makes the songs snap. Sometimes Accept's lyrics could be a little strange, but what the hell does it matter when the music and vocals behind it sound this good.
Classics on here include the title track, Head over Heels, London Leatherboys Yes, it is really that good. One person found this helpful. This is one of the greatest metal albums of all time. Every song, as far as I'm concerned, is a classic. Udo Dirkschneider has one of the most recognizable voices in the genre, and he belts out vocals that fit perfectly to the music. He also shows versatility by hammering out rockers like the title track and London Leather Boys and then toning things down a bit for ballads like Winter Nights.
Wolf Hoffmann is one of the most underrated guitar players out there. He infuses classical playing with metal expertly. If you like heavy metal, this is one of the best albums out there. Highly recommended!! I remember in when I first heard the song "Balls to the Wall" on the radio. The song was by an intriguing German band I never heard of: Accept. Needless to say the song utterly blew me away!
Anyway, I immediately went out and purchased the album "Balls to the Wall. As for the rest, they were decent; I certainly wouldn't call them 'filler,' like a lot of songs on just about every Iron Maiden release. As for the lyrics, they were generally intelligent and covered a good spectrum -- politics on a social, sexual and global level, but some left me baffled like "Love Child" where singer Udo states: "Feeling the power of lust when the guy's passing by" and "Don't know what I am, a woman or a man.
Here's a run-down of the songs: 1. It's a paean for the rights of the oppressed and a call to revolution. This one has riffs reminiscent of Judas Priest's "Killing Machine," but the song itself is arguably better.
The lyrics detail the tragic story of a London bike gang. This is a likable, aggressive number that addresses freedom from conventional social drudgery e. Starts out with a lonely bass riff followed by a creative guitar accompaniment. This is one of the best songs on the album. The lyrics interestingly deal with going to a park late at night and stumbling upon people having sex! This song shows that Udo can do much more than scream in an irritating manner.
The mature lyrics personally address the ex-boyfriend of an abused woman as in 'give it up, you've lost her'. This song is emotionally potent and is one of the highlights of the CD. Decent number about a charismatic dude that oozes sexuality and incites lust. This one has an infectious chorus and a smoking lead guitar solo; the subject matter is obvious. I'm not a big fan of this ditty; the lyrics are inoffensive but dumb. Example: "Write a letter What's the matter You'll feel better Write a letter.
That song aside, the rest of this album smokes. Accept have given the fans a good run with this newest incarnation circa present and by the looks and sounds on the live DVD they show no signs of stopping anytime soon. Definitely on my top 10 list this year.
Tornillo is a seasoned Veteran with his own jersey band TT Quick and doesn't sound like the new guy at all in fact he's been delivering the goods since Blood of the nations, and you would think that Accept would have had all those years since Udo left the band to write a killer album chock full of killer riffs but it hasn't stopped Stalingrad was also amazing as is 'Blind Rage' release it starts off with killer songs and the ever amazing Wolf Hoffman's playing is awe inspiring he hasn't lost a step the whole band just brings metal anthems to life bulldozing their way through the entire release if you love TRUE HEAVY METAL than you are one of us the last of a dying breed Who Love Accept do yourself a favor and Buy it on amazon the last 3 releases are phenomenal an exercise to brutalize our minds with classic Accept vocals Stunning Guitar riffs and thunderous Metal that will have you singing and cheering!
Once again they deliver another album of great classic style metal. Is he enough to make one say Udo who? Once again, the vinyl beats the CD in terms of a decent dynamic mix.
That's quite a difference. The gatefold cover is a bit thin though. Good old rock n roll. After Stalingrad and Blood of the Nations, the boys not really boys at this point in time ha ha fronted by a New Jersey native deliver the goods and it does not disappoint. There are enough and more of fast thrashy barnstormers Stampede, Dying Breed, Dark side of my heart but like all great heavy metal albums, the actual magic happens when the pace slows down a few gears Fall of the empire, Wanna be free, The Curse-this one is my favourite off this album at this point.
But then again, that specific point is something about which metalheads endlessly argue about. Everything is top quality, right from the vocals and instrumentation to the production work. Add an ultra cool cover and we have a near perfect metal masterpiece. Do not miss this one Don't think for an instant that Mark Tornillo is just and Udo clone. Far from it.
Mark has added an extra dimension to Accept that has shown through on all of their post-Udo albums. Andy Sneap has the pristine product in there too. Great songwriting and obviously playing.
Accept identity is all over this album. One person found this helpful. See all reviews from the United States. Top international reviews. Blind Rage is the 14th full-length studio album by the legendary German Heavy Metal band Accept, and the 3rd since their triumphant reformation with the new Mark Tornillio-fronted line up. It was released on Nuclear Blast Records in and was masterfully produced as with their previous two records by veteran British producer Andy Sneap.
Right off the bat, let me just say that I absolutely love this record and would highly recommend that any fan of the bands previous two records buy it without hesitation. Moreover any fan of the band or even just the genre should consider buying it.
It is at once both an immediate hit and a massive grower. If you like pounding double-kick drums and guitar solos you want to sing along to, this is the sort of stuff for you.
There are big riffs and chant-along backing vocals all over the place designed to make everything feel memorable and make you want to pump your fists in the air. There are tracks here that could neatly slot into either of their previous two albums without looking out of place at all, and so in many ways, the album is partly a continuation of what the reunion line-up has been doing so far. Blind Rage diversifies into softer, more melodic and anthemic directions as well.
Overall, Blind Rage is an absolutely stunning record. The performances are great, the production is immaculate and I have nothing but praise for the songs themselves. I highly recommend picking yourself up a copy if you are in any way interested.
It is great to see the reunion line-up absolutely tearing it up live and the mix of newer material with the usual concert-favourites makes it feel vital and exciting. Thank you for your feedback.
Sorry, we failed to record your vote. Please try again. Superb Record. What a storming album. And like all the best records it didn't grab me immediately. But it grew and grew with each listen. It's not a radical departure from the previous two albums at all and initially I thought it not as good - until the earworm that is 'Wanna Be Free,' ended up on a constant mental loop.
After that I ended up listening through this a number of times until I got to the point where I figured that it really is one of the best that Accept have done no matter what the era. Production values and recording are high. It's astonishing just how good compared to the older records it is. The songs are thoughtful, often powerful and some are definitely ones you want to bang your head along too. The chorus of Wanna Be Free is so catchy that you almost find yourself singing along to it - despite the serious subject matter.
Overall this is a proper old school metal record created by people who understand it at their very core - especially as they were in early on - but done with all the modern recording methods. A truly brilliant effort that stands proud with the best of Accept. I love Accept.. With Mark Tornillo, they created 3 masterpieces and i think that Blind Rage is simply the highest point! If u love any type of rock, any genre of metal; buy this album. And never think that it's just an old-school metal stuff; it has all type of technical and maybe magical additions of today's metal with soul n' passion.
For sure the reason is the real master Wolf Hoffmann who is Accept. U r gonna be cursed after listenin' this album.. Pros: - Wolf Hoffmann best guitarist ever - The Curse best song ever - Dozens of hits - Box set has great additions Cons: - U r gonna be cursed by Wolf's magic I bought the box set version of this album from Rarewaves by Amazon uk.
This album is incredible. I think it's their best yet since they reformed. On first listen the tunes were in my head and wolf Hoffman's guitar playing is fantastic as always. I can't stop listening to it Can't not mention the DVD, which is a live concert from the last tour. This too, is amazing. Showing how good accept are live, with a cracking setlist. Excelent music, incredible box set. Load more international reviews. It was my favorite book growing up and the night I got it I read it to my Nephew and he was enthralled!
So question: Is there any place I could find this book online ecopy? My little girl loves this book too! She recites the opening lines every time she plays with her own tether ball a simple tennis ball on a string.
We found it first at the library and are now hunting for our own copy. I was shocked to find it's out of print. Oh well - ebay or Amazon used to the rescue. Post a Comment. Friday, June 13, Stop That Ball!
