Que recuerdos nocturnos me trae ese tema It starts here my friends, My brothers and sisters, The courage to show what is brave, and not to be weakened To stand it through, by any length ,, To look into the eyes,And have the strength of men who say "FUCK YOU!
Sobre todo me fascina esa "The Shooting Star", marcando desde el vamos un comienzo de disco brutal, labrando el camino que el disco prosigue a posteriori. No pasa nada has llegado justo a tiempo. Review Summary: We're like a shooting star.
Rank: 0 for Especially metal, Sailors Of Time - Labÿrinth* - Return To Heaven Denied Pt. II (A Midnight Autumns Dream) (CD boasts supposed complexity and musicianship. Many things can ruin an album - from immature songwriting, bad lyrics, bad guitar tone, one musician hogging the show and boring things, a lack of ability on the part of a singer or a musician.
So many things can go wrong in fact, that it really helps explain why there are so few classics among the genre. This is the reason why most concept albums fail from bloat. This is the reason why most album sequels fail to relive the inspiration of the original. However, sometimes music hits you that alleviates all of your doubts about the limitations inherent within a genre.
An work that just releases music from simply being songs on a record. This album threads that fine needle in so many ways - bringing back the good qualities that made Labyrinth's Album) release great, while shedding their 80's sound and giving them a much needed shift to a more modern sound.
The songs on this album utilize very tight harmonized guitar leads paired with blazing vocals and complex song structures. The two best parts of this band are probably the lead singer's voice and the skilled, purposeful guitar playing.
Singer Rob Tyrant's voice Album) a huge range, bluesy style, and a powerful feel. The lead guitarist, Olaf Thorsen, is inspired by technical thrash metal Kreator is one of his favorite bands but adds his own personal style that makes the result quite different, an optimistic and uplifting mood.
Yet, even with the crushing thrash leads, this album never becomes monotonous and grating as some "heavy" albums can become. This album really masters pacing in its songwriting, leaving long buildups and acoustic interludes that emphasize each section for their different roles.
The perfect example is the opening track, also one of the best tracks The Shooting Star. A minute long intro builds up into a thrashy riff. The riff quiets down to a chorus that builds the tension back up, and climaxing at a dual guitar solo about two thirds of the way through. The songs are structured this way to build tension and then release, and such a strong release it is.
Singer Rob Tyrant belts the choruses out at the top of his lungs. The album also has three ballads tastefully placed: Like Shadows in the Dark, the title track, and In this Void.
The title track Midnight Autumn's Dream is a real standout as a metal ballad. Combining Olaf's thoughtful lyrics with Roberto's innate talent. One of Labyrinth's gifts is being able to transcend the cheesy lyric trap that many power metal bands can't avoid. Labyrinth also experiments with some electronic sounds in various songs such as on In This Void, which is appealing enough to be radio friendly.
The closer of the album is a real standout too. Having some of the most thoughtful lyrics of any metal songs I've heard, it leaves the album on Sailors Of Time - Labÿrinth* - Return To Heaven Denied Pt. II (A Midnight Autumns Dream) (CD beautifully warm note and leaves you wanting more.
